UEW: Deadline for Online Course Registration for Fresh and Continuing Students

The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is pleased to announce the activation of registration for the 1st semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year for all continuing regular students. We encourage all students to follow the registration guidelines outlined below to ensure a smooth process.

Registration Dates for Continuing Students:

  • Regular Full-Time Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students:
Registration will be open from 17th January 2025 to 3rd February 2025.
  • Freshers (Undergraduate and Postgraduate):
Registration details for freshers will be communicated after the Intensive Pre-Academic Orientation Programme (IPOP) on 22nd and 23rd January 2025.

Important Guidelines:

  1. Eligibility for Examinations:
Only students who successfully complete registration will be eligible to sit for Mid-Semester and End-of-Semester Examinations. This policy will be strictly enforced.
  2. Fees Payment:
All students must pay 50% of their fees before proceeding with registration, in line with Section 1.5.1 of the Undergraduate Students' Handbook.
  3. Self-Registration Process:
Students are responsible for registering their courses via the Student Information Portal (SIP). After registration, students must print their registration forms and have them signed by their Head of Department or Examinations Officer. Failure to submit these signed forms will result in incomplete registration.
  4. Confirmation of Studentship:
Studentship is confirmed each semester based on full fee payment and successful course registration.
  5. Level 400 Internship Supervision:
Level 400 students are reminded that failure to pay fees and register will prevent the supervision of their internship. A list of eligible students will be shared with relevant departments for supervision arrangements.
  6. Late Registration Penalties:
Registration after 3rd February 2025 will incur penalties. Students are encouraged to complete their registration on time to avoid these fees.

Support and Assistance:

  • For Registration Issues:
Students are advised to download the OSIS II Student Manual from the University website and follow the guidelines. If you encounter any issues, please contact your departmental administrator or the Faculty Accountant for financial queries.

Additional Important Notices:

  • Probationary Status:
All students remain on probation throughout their program. Unsatisfactory academic performance or misconduct may lead to dismissal, as stated in your admission letter.
  • Compliance with University Rules:
Students are expected to follow all university rules and regulations outlined in the Undergraduate Students' Handbook.
