Around 2 p.m. yesterday, officers from the Ghana National Fire Service recovered the decomposing body of a young woman from a septic tank at Sunyani Magazine.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend about three weeks ago. In an effort to conceal his crime, the suspect reportedly dumped her body in the septic tank to avoid detection.
The suspect has since been arrested, and the police have taken possession of the body for further investigation.
Residents of Sunyani Magazine are left in shock by the incident, with many demanding swift justice.
